Brunei still has many kampong style of living, from BSB, Seria, Kuala Belait, unlike Singapore a concrete jungle.
Brunei has got Ayer Kampong (Water Village,) school, shop, clinic, cinema, market all very self contain.
Brunei is also very peaceful, ppl are very contended, Gahmen is very compassionate, gahmen provide almost everything foc, school fee never heard of, if you fall sick what insurance? ganhmen will pay for all including oversea medical to Sin or UK plus hotel food and lodging. Never heard of right?
No personnal/business Tax in Brunei, petrol and cars are still cheap. Road tax I think it's very very cheap, need to buy car insurance only. If you're buying a car you can loan and test drive a car for one month in Brunei, be it BMW or Merc, unlike Singapore test drive one km Salesman expect to close sale!!!
During Ramadan ppl q up to the Palace the Sultan would stand there shake hand with the ppl and give each $50.00 note for visiting in the evening.. Never heard of in other places or country.
Drivers in Brunei are very patience you don't hear car honking at each other, that's consider rude! PPl wear Gold Rolexes walking on the street don't get rob, until recently too many outsiders coming into Brunei, social problem!
I visited Brunei for 10 years during the course of my work, although they don't have nite life, nite club, saloon, who cares, in eveing go makan with business associates and call it the night. PPl in Brunei are very friendly,they can be very rich but they are very humble.
I really respect that country, they normally don't accept foreigners to become Brunei citizen. You can live there for 15 years but still hold a foreign ic. Brunei Citizen has it's privilege.
